Description

Our client, an established Importer, Manufacturer and Distributor of plastic injection molded products, commercial and household lighting, garden and plastic products as well as household electrical appliances which are sold to the mass retail market are looking for a Key Account Manager to join their team.

Operating out of a Sales Office and large warehousing facility on the East Rand, the company services South Africa as well as Sub-Saharan African Countries.

Offering consistent quality and innovative solutions to mass retailers as well as smaller independent stores.

As the Key Account Manager, you will take over the day-to-day management of the South African Mass Retail portfolio.

Key Accounts include most major South African mass retail chain groups of which there are existing and very established agreements in place.

You will deal with the Head of Buying within these mass retailers and through providing superior customer service, you will stem solid, long term business relationships.

You must enjoy hosting your clients at and participating in golf days on a regular basis, so it is vital that you are able to hold your own in these settings.

You will also manage a third-party merchandising company which supports your activities within your Key Accounts.

Your responsibilities will be focused around growing the company revenue within these Key Accounts and the position is highly target and results driven.

Requirements:

A proven track record dealing at Buyer Level within mass retail key accounts like Massmart, Checkers, Pick 'n Pay, Pep Stores and the like
Stable employment record is a must, we are specifically looking for a stable person who is willing to commit to long term employment
You must be able to converse fluently at a high level in business Afrikaans when required
Be able to complete regular trips to Cape Town
Own transport is essential
