To support in the design and development of information and data architecture framework and principles and develop and drive information and data architecture models and data systems within the data platform

Are you someone who can:

Execute on Data Architecture roadmaps.
Implement the Data Architecture framework and ensure corrective action is taken (if required) within area of scope.
Provide input into the SDLC and ensure alignment to data architecture framework.
Drive cost efficiencies within area of scope through enhancements of agile frameworks and processes.
Align to FirstRand approved strategic data platforms to meet the business growth demands and execute the data architecture requirements within area of scope.
Drive business profitability in the context of cost management through efficient data management practices and alignment to the Data Architecture.
Ensure alignment of the data architecture principles to the information management disciplines (e.g., data quality, meta data management, etc.)
Keep abreast of advancements within the data and technology areas and to simplify the data architecture.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders within area of scope to provide input and socialise data architecture principles to be adopted.
Ensure targets and solutions contribute towards achieving an integrated data architecture.
Support adoption of approved architecture and decommission "noncompliant" environments/ infrastructures in respect to the group architecture principles within area of scope.
Identify interconnected problems, determine impact, patterns, trends; and identify best fit alternatives to design and implement best practice solutions.
Buildout or support the building of data capabilities aligned to Data Architecture principles as part of roadmap for area of responsibility.
Support Information Architects in ensuring compliance of Enterprise Data Domains and alignment of data products in tenants with group architectural policies.
Support Information Architects in minimising duplication and streamlining advanced analytical model deployment, ensuring accelerated deployment of models, leveraging aligned data pipelines, agile methodology and data platform constructs including feature store, etc.
Participate in relevant committees within area of scope to ensure compliance to the Data Architecture standards and principles.
Monitor operational issues and ensure high levels of data ethics is followed.
Design new or improved solutions for platform enablement.
Work closely with a crossfunctional team to assess data architectural requirements for new and enhanced business operations.
Identify and evaluate current data management technologies.
Contribute and update repository of all data architecture artifacts and procedures.
Guide the development and implementation of organisational Business Intelligence (BI) and Management Information Solutions (MIS).
Ensure implementation of information management solutions and data platforms are aligned to the enterprise data model (EDM) framework and enterprise data warehouse (EDW).
Consider IT Risk and Governance Standards for the data environment (System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Change management, Incident management, Release management, and communicate with relevant stakeholders, when developing data architectural frameworks, standards, guidelines, and policies.
Ensure alignment of data architecture framework by implementing solutions that conform to the nonduplication of data principles (master data management and reference data management).
Ensure collaboration with crossfunctional teams in the development of common data models, taxonomies, reference data and business vocabulary across the organisation.
Develop data pipelines, models and database structures.
Drive Data Architecture awareness (and related risks) for area of responsibility in consultation with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Data Architect Head, Data Heads, Data Modelers, Data Engineers, Solutions Architect, Platform Head, etc.)
Provide required training to relevant stakeholders on data architecture framework, policies, standards, and principles within area of scope.
Liaise and communicate the architectural design to the necessary audiences e.g. Data Modellers, Data Engineers, Solutions Architects, Platform Heads, etc.
Keep abreast of best practices and technology trends.
