Mining Projects company is looking for an occupational health and safety officer.

Requirements:

A National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety/equivalent relevant qualification plus relevant 3 years experience as a safety officer in the Minning Industry
Knowledge of Occupational Health Safety Acts, ISO standard, SAMTRAC, NOSA standard, COIDA and IOD, financial management, project management, administrative processes, and procedures.
Willingness to work irregular hours when required
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain effective work relationships
Must pass Impala Medical Examination

Duties

Coordinate, monitor, organize and plan inspection activities; Ensure and enforce implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations within the Department.
Develop a wellinformed occupational health and safety management system.
Practicing safe working techniques and reenforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set up by MMP
Carry out Workplace and Site inspections according to Safety regulations, standards, directives, and policies of the Company
Develop, coordinate and implement occupational health and safety education and training to enable preparedness for hazards and risks.
Provide statistics regarding safety inspections, health, and safety incidents
Continuous Booking and updating of Medical and Inductions for company employees as well as updating of Training Matrix ensuring compliance
Maintain filing systems regarding worker training and safety

Salary:
R23, R23,100.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
