Job Advert Summary:

Purpose of the position:

The purpose of this position is to provide ministerial technical support and ultimately enable prompt and effective prioritisation of public health developments and interventions amongst youth, in terms of policy development, service implementation and governance, and serve to enhance existing efforts in place, through current partnerships.

Incumbent will be seconded to the National Department of Health.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in healh related field (Master's Degree advantageous)
Project management qualification and experience (training/certificate an advantage)
10 years district management experience
Experience in an advisory role (advantageous)
Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

Technical leadership
Ensure highquality, evidencebased HIV prevention programming and service delivery targeted to the unique needs of adolescent girls and young women

Strategy development and interventions

Lead the development of strategy and interventions
Monitor and report on HIV prevention quality assessment,improvement, and assurance activities

Material development and review
Oversee communications/program material development for Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC), Information Education and Communication (IEC),adolescent and youth friendly services (AYFS), youth zones and interventions for adolescent boysand young men including Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC), tailored to adolescentsand young adults
