One of our leading companies based in Alrode is looking for a SALES MANAGER.

Full time

Salary a month - Basic CTC + travelling allowance


Key Responsibilities:


  • Must be able to promote and sell the organizations' products and services by means of calls, visits and presentations to achieve sales targets
  • Must be able to pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers, assess customer needs and advices on appropriate company products and services, respond to customer enquiries, negotiates prices and delivery times and conclude sales orders
  • Must be able to assist key maintenance, engineering and production personnel of the customer at production/operational level advising on screen media adjustments/changes to raise efficiency and ease of operation
  • Identifies, researches and contacts prospective customers and builds positive relationships generating future sales and repeat business
  • Must be able to take charge of the organizations' internal and external sales teams
  • Must be able to transfer his/her own experience and knowledge gained in the industry and his/her own training in engineering to lead, guide and motivate the internal and external sales teams of the organisation
  • Must be able to direct the internal and external sales teams in its weekly planning by identifying priority activity
  • Assists the internal and external sales teams with clear instructions for effective preparation of quotations as required in the organizations' manuals and policies
  • Collects and refers customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization
  • Establishes annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly sales plans and prioritises and schedules own activities ensuring sales targets are met
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions as and when required
  • Responsible for crossfunctional operations, ensuring all tasks are completed according to sales and marketing strategies
  • Prepare/assist in preparation of Tenders/Contracts and manage initial design for plant and equipment within approved procedures
  • Execute all functions in line with the applicable delegation of authority
  • Investigate customer complaints and recommend adjustments to product/service
  • To be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the relevant OHS Acts, Regulations and applicable Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Report all hazards, incidents and injuries in accordance with legislation and company reporting procedures;
  • Ensure that the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is worn when required.
  • National Senior Certificate or Equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with own transport
  • 5+ years' work experience in Screening/mining environment
  • Proven sound technical and engineering background and knowledge
  • Proven sound metallurgical knowledge
  • Proven record of achievement of budgets and targets
  • Proven ability to prepare accurate quotations and written reports
  • Tender preparation experience
  • Must be able to travel locally for operational requirements
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with clients.
  • Appearance and behaviour appropriate to gain client acceptance.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to develop sound relationships within the company and the customer base
