Durban and Port Elizabeth

Responsibilities:


Operations:


  • Managing and overseeing the smooth running of operations on collections, deliveries, and HUB in conjunction with the Operations Manager
  • Assist with Operational Queries
  • Liaising with Airlines and Agents "Domestic and International"
  • Sit in on all 2nd interviews with potential new employees

Sales:


  • Visit the company's TOP 20 customers
  • Assist Sales Team with developing relationships with Customers
  • Assist in sourcing New Business with Sales Team
  • Guiding the Sales Manager
  • Assist and ensure that Sales targets are achieved
  • Assist with interviewing potential new sales representatives
  • Ensure that all rate increases are done
  • Negotiate rates with customers

CSD / POD:


  • Managing and overseeing the smooth running of both CSD and POD departments in conjunction with the managers
  • Sit in on all 2nd interviews with potential new employees

Fleet:


  • Liaise closely with the Fleet Department regarding Fleet Vehicles, drivers, invoices for the fleet vehicles

Finance:


  • Managing daily expenses of the Branch
  • Setting of Branch Budgets
  • Ensure budget objectives are achieved
  • Analyzing of monthly management reports i.e. General Ledger Accounts etc.

HR / IR:


  • Ensure that all the branches' employees Clock Cards and HR documents are completed
  • Liaise with the HR Manager regarding Human Resources matters
  • Ensure that discipline is maintained within the Branch and liaise with the IR Manager

Skill Requirements:


  • Matric with a Management Diploma or Business Management Degree
  • 5+ years' experience in Management
  • Financial Knowledge "Reading and understanding of Financial Reports"
  • 2 to 3 year's financial experience
  • Operational Knowledge "International and Domestic Operational Experience"
  • Courier / Logistical knowledge
  • 5 to 6 years' experience in Sales "Proven Track Record"
  • Excellent Geographical knowledge of South Africa
  • Excellent Negotiation Skills
  • Excellent People Skills
  • Computer Literacy "Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Parcel Perfect"
