SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability.

As Branch Manager your duties also include guiding management staff in your Branch, setting performance objectives, evaluating and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld and preparing operations and financial reports.

The Branch Manager is responsible for fostering a positive environment and ensuring customer satisfaction as well as running the Branch in a professional manner.

He/she must have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Client Management

  • Actively seek new business opportunities, identify shortfalls and possible risks, inform the client and offer solutions to mitigate the risk or shortfall.
  • Actively sourcing relevant tenders and identifying potential clients and projects as well as follow up on new leads and referrals
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new technology to existing clients. Create new revenue streams.
  • Successfully resolve client issues in a timely and professional manner, provide assistance to clients and ensure that challenges do not damage the client relationship. Always be open and honest with your client, own up to mistakes and rectify them Once Trust is lost, it is virtually impossible to regain.
  • National and Key Accounts are critical to the branch and business overall, treat them as priority clients, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to the national service delivery standard.
  • Regularly visit clients for site visits and inspections. Do Client Analysis
  • Investigate client needs and wants, and gain knowledge of the Client's business to anticipate their needs in order to provide sound technical solutions. Develop solution designs for clients based on Client Analysis.
  • Manage the quality and consistency of salesrelated service delivery by ensuring that accurate quotes, proposals, tenders and contracts are provided in a timely manner.

Financials and Operations

  • Assist with the project planning and execution of larger projects as required, by attending project meetings, meeting with clients etc
  • Ensure that projects that meet certain requirements are handed over to the Project Management Office
  • Monitor the progress of all projects, receiving weekly status reports from relevant personnel / stakeholders.
  • Develop sales and expense budget for the Branch operations (Budget planning)
  • Have regular WIP meetings with relevant stakeholders (Business Unit, Admin and Operations Managers) to evaluate the GP of jobs (too small or large GP) to limit wastage and increase profitability on jobs.
  • Prepare feedback reports for Management meetings
  • Achieving profitability goals and objectives of the Branch:
  • Continuously analyse and evaluate activities, costs, operations, budgets and forecast data to determine Branch progress towards stated goals and objectives. (Understanding and Interpretation of Income Statement)

Employee Management

  • Achieve growth and sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Discuss contracts with each new employee
  • Complete employee performance reviews twice a year
  • Complete employee talent reviews once every 2 years
  • Once an individual development plan (IDP) is provided by HR, provide support in the implementation of IDPs and employee development
  • Once a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) is provided by HR, provide support in the implementation of the PIP and ensuring that the process is followed as per the requirements.
  • Support employees who are part of the Advancement and Accelerated Development Plans
  • Provide internal training opportunities within the branch, to support the skill development of employees
  • Take prompt corrective action as needed, ensuring that the necessary disciplinary process is adhered to with all disciplinary issues.

Reporting and Monitoring

Admin Department

  • The safekeeping of Company assets, including structures, equipment, inventory and cash
  • Supporting the Credit department in extending and enforcing credit policy
  • The onboarding and orientation of all new employees
  • Store / Stock levels (monthly stock count, minimum/maximum levels, consignment stock, stores current Rvalue etc)
  • Effective service delivery (turnaround time on quotes, SLA calls, job card signoff, invoicing etc)

Operations

  • Management of day to day activities and scheduling of teams for optimal performance
  • Project planning and execution
  • All handover documents have been completed to project Company standards, and delivered to the client within a reasonable time frame after completion for project closure
  • Effective service delivery (turnaround time from PO received to installation date, installation stan
