  • To manage and support the development, maintenance, commercialisation and operationalisation of Islamic Banking products in line with Shari'ah governance requirements

Responsibilities:


  • Creation of Islamic Banking deposit products and CVPs across the Nedbank Group.
  • Provide Shari'ah expertise throughout the product management lifecycle.
  • In collaboration with the Nedbank Shari'ah governance structures, ensure that Islamic Banking products are Shari'ah compliant.
  • Stakeholder collaboration to ensure that Nedbank Islamic Banking products are competitive, differentiated and meet client needs.
  • Champion and support product innovation activity by conducting strategic analyse and market research.
  • Structuring and implementing client solutions in a Shari'ah compliant manner.
  • Support various channels with ongoing training and indepth product knowledge.
  • Meet product innovation objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ensure efficient work ethic and achievement of Business Unit strategies and goals.
  • Draft and present monthly business reports to stakeholders.
  • Compile and analyze reports in accordance with findings, trend analysis and risk indicators.
  • Identify and drive development and implementation of solutions.
  • Adhere to the terms and conditions of employment.
  • Ensure service level agreements are achieved and maintained.
  • Support decision making by gathering and analysing information from different sources.
  • Ensure clients' expectations are met to the required standards in collaboration with applicable channels, ensure that clients' expectations are met to the required standard.
  • Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diploma / National 1st Degrees / Barchelor
  • MBA

Preferred Qualification

  • Postgraduate diploma or NQF level 7 qualification.
  • Islamic Banking / Finance qualification

Minimum Experience Level

  • Minimum 5 years product management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years Islamic Banking experience
  • An understanding of Islamic Banking principles
  • Knowledge of Shari'ah constructs used to create deposit products.
  • Experience and knowledge of creating Islamic Banking products.
