  • REPORTING TO THE CUSTOMER LIAISON SUPERVISOR: INTERNAL SALES
    JOB PURPOSE
  • Responsible for expediting customer orders, improving on delivery dates and updating internal systems with progress
    JOB FUNCTION
  • Status of existing orders is monitored and communicated continuously and orders in progress are discussed with production as required.
  • Expedite monthly on customer complaints and report on overdue, communicate orders to Business Units and Sales Managers
  • Liaison with planners to improve on quoted delivery dates and revised delivery dates and reasons thereof are communicated to Sales Engineers
  • Deliveries are booked with Despatch as required and system is updated to reflect revised delivery date.
  • 100% delivery accuracy wherever possible and all outstanding orders are progressed to ensure adherence to delivery dates.
  • Ongoing liaison with production, sales and planners on delivery dates and customer queries are responded to within 24 hours.
  • Draft quotations and send to customer in time and ensure quotes and order conversions are correctly recorded on JDE.
  • Maintain contact with key stakeholders regarding possible orders or status of proposals.
  • Log and investigate incidents, compliments and innovations and provide response within required period.
  • All major quotations and tenders are followed up on and input is provided on project status
    Inherent Requirements

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 1
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role and environment
  • Computer Literate
- good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook)

  • JDE (sales and inventory modules) and Qlikview will be highly advantageous.
  • Follows up, problem solver, quality orientated, good communication skills, attention to detail, good planning and organising skills
