Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Non-structured weekend work

The Role:


The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively.

Duties include motivating sales teams, creating business strategies, developing promotional material, training new staff and overseeing daily store operations. As the store manager, you will supervise the operational and organizational standards of the store. Your duties will include undertaking administrative tasks, monitoring inventory levels, and developing business strategies.


Responsibilities:


  • Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring staff
  • Create business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability
  • Hire, train and oversee new staff
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Develop and arrange promotional material and instore displays
  • Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements and profits
  • Undertake store administration duties such as managing store budgets and updating financial records
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for promotions centered on special holidays
  • Seek ways to better promote the store, the product line and service within the store
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals
  • Implement crosstraining of employees and Assistant Managers to maintain productivity at all times
  • Supervise, train and assist employees in customer service, store maintenance and product promotions
  • Manage all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability
  • Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times
  • Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policy and procedure
  • Reasonable ad hoc duties as requested by Management

Minimum Requirements:


  • Matric or equivalent
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
  • Customer serviceoriented with indepth knowledge of basic business management processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary:
R15, R20,000.00 per month
