Description
Lead technical projects from initiation through implementation, covering: Planning, pre-feasibility & feasibility with the main deliverables being budget and detailed project costings

  • Compiling proposals in response to RFP's & RFQ's as well as official tenders
  • Identify opportunities for efficient collaboration
  • Liaising with internal customers
  • Establish project requirements, priorities, and deadlines
  • Manage budget for assigned project(s), monitors project progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly
  • Observe and ensure compliance with governance and established policies, systems, procedures and practices
  • Observe and ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environment standards
  • Adherence to contracts and procurement procedures
  • Establish a database of external suppliers, contractors and professional services with industry specific skills capable of providing project support
  • Prepare RFP and RFQ documents
  • Supplier Development / Management
  • Identification and implementation of costsaving initiatives.
  • Understanding of INCOTERMS and import procedure (Documents for customs clearance)
  • Drive B-BBEE strategies in line with the Business Goals

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Project Management/Engineering qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years project costing experience working in a tender environment
  • Minimum of 2 years Project/Contract Management experience
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other analytical tools
  • ERP SAP experience
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data
