Position Overview:

This position will provide specialist support to relevant stakeholders with regards to Contract Management.

The Senior Contracts Specialist is responsible to issue and evaluate tenders and to compile and maintain contracts in a manner that adds value to the business and minimizes contractual risks, whilst adhering to governance and legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

Tender
- and Contract Administration

Compile tender documentation for contracts and projects.
Commercial and financial evaluation of tenders.
Negotiate tenders and assist with obtaining tenders from marketplace through marketing process.
Compile contracts with service providers, evaluate and make recommendations regarding contract stipulations.
Enforce contractual rights toward adhering to contract and legal requirements.

Commodity Strategy

Ensure all departmental activities and operations occur within the overall Commodity strategy requirements / stipulations.
Formulate commodity strategies toward achieving alignment with the overall BU strategy.
Effectively manage contracts in portfolio as per SOP

Budget and Cost Control

Focus on advancements in the specialist field to assess potential cost reduction.
Develop shouldcost models and clean sheets where verification of costs is required.
Ensure procurement savings and avoidance is reported and tracked monthly.
Contribute to SCM key initiates (savings, avoidance, improvement on days payable, contractor management, etc.)
