Description
The main purpose of this job is to ensure that the flow of material is carried out in a safe and efficient manner to ensure smooth flow of production activities.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete checklist before start up.
- Advise on any deviations noted or observed.
- Consult the Supervisor and the planning board for production requirements
- Ensure that the preloading of raw material is done.
- Ensure the correct raw material is loaded.
- Check if all tools are available as per requirements.
- Ensure that finished goods are offloaded and moved to allocated laydown areas or the next process.
- Stack/store goods correctly and safely in an allocated lay down area.
- Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Check daily planner/Supervisor for loading.
- Scan delivery preparation documents.
- Maintain proactive, dynamic, and effective communication at all times.
- Offload/load goods as per instructions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4.
- Experience in a production environment will be an advantage.
Desired Skills:
- Numerical Literacy.
- Must be flexible to work shifts.
- Ability to operate the crane according to verbal, written or signal instructions.
