Description

Job Purpose

  • To support and enable the business strategy while protecting and enhancing the reputation of Nedbank Corporate and Investment Bank (NCIB) by developing and driving the communication strategy to internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities:


  • Utilise the overarching NCIB strategy and Marketing strategy to develop a refreshed communications approach for the NCIB brand.
  • Develop and support execution of the NCIB internal communications strategy in collaboration with group communications and agencies.
  • Ensure that PR support plans are put in place for: Brand, Strategic sectors, Sponsorship, Digital, and Green strategies.
  • Meet business objectives by recommending, managing and controlling the communication budget.
  • Manage all internal and external communications to enhance and protect NCIB's reputation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders by building effective business partnerships and supporting communications team.
  • Deliver communication solutions strategies by listening to and understanding internal and external stakeholders so as to meet their expectations.
  • Provide best practice advice to all stakeholders regarding innovative and current communications tools available to enhance the business outputs and build brand reputation.
  • Ensure that all communications are aligned to the NCIB brand.
  • Ensure translation of strategy into tactical multiyear plans by managing the execution process.
  • Achieve business objectives by strategically aligning channels, messages and audiences effectively.
  • Inform stakeholders by providing updates on progress on execution of communication strategy.
  • Create and deliver publishing documents to enhance the NCIB image and brand.
  • Ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Coach and mentor Marketing team members by sharing knowledge and industry trends to build a strong talent pipeline within the business.
  • Writing and editing copy received from agencies and business stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail in execution of communications work.
  • Crisis and reputation management in conjunction with group stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

  • Relevant businessrelated degree
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Post graduate qualification in Communications or Marketing or equivalent
    Minimum Experience Level
