Job description / core competencies:

Production:
Responsible for production efficiency, throughput, on-time delivery, cost, and quality.
Set up production systems and work with production engineer to optimise production processes and equipment.
Identify additional site requirements and lead the establishment and management of these requirements.
Coordinate with all departments involved such as sales, procurement, finance, and engineering.

Optimization of supply chain management:
Finding efficient and cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes. Maintaining inventories and records in the supply chain.
Solving problems (e.g. delivery delays, accidents). Develop and implement safety guidelines for all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts).
Ensuring that supply chain processes comply with legal requirements and standards.
Ensure that the supply chain department and its systems work seamlessly with other departments and their staff and systems.
Create coordinated plans for business growth.
Ensure that supply chain departments work seamlessly with each other.

Warehousing:

Ensure effective inventory control in all warehouses and stores, taking into account working capital requirements, production throughput and growth requirements.

Optimise space and operations to ensure efficient operations. Ensuring the integration of warehouse systems with the rest of the supply chain.

Logistics:
Analysing data from shipping and delivery processes to identify bottlenecks and other issues.
Monitoring logistics to ensure they run smoothly. Managing complex and time-sensitive shipments.

Selection and review of suppliers:
Logistics strategies per product and region.

Quality:
managing quality systems and processes. Ensuring the right equipment is in place. Quality throughput. Reporting.

Process flow control:
Evaluating and optimising existing and new standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Strategic and analytical mind, more than 8 years of experience in production and supply chain management.

Ability and passion for implementing new processes that impact multiple business units in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.

Natural focus on simplicity, quality, and speed rather than complicated processes.

International logistics, both sea and air freight.

Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes and experience with ERP software (ideally Microsoft Business Central) and PowerBI would be an advantage.

Strong communication skills to create alignment and support your vision and execution plans.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Attention to detail.

Degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics or similar field.
