Introduction


Our client is seeking Procurement Administrator who will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.

With over 30 years of industry experience and a vast national warehousing and distribution network, they excel in delivering tailored solutions and value across the supply chain.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluating suppliers, products, and services, and ensuring that approved purchases are costefficient and of high quality.
  • Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
  • Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing, comparing, analysing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as product specs, MOQ, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations.
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  • Placing of Import & Local Orders.
  • Responsible for planning / forecasting / control of all aspects of procurement / goods.
  • Responsible for procuring raw materials, packaging, and goods.
  • GRV of stock, ensure pricing is correct, request credit notes where necessary.
  • Updating weekly open order schedules local and import.
  • Updating Goods in Transit report monthly.
Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum Grade 12 / Matric
  • Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field
  • 3+ years of experience in Procurement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and high proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Attention to detail
