My client in the wholesale bakery industry is looking to employ a Food Safety Manager for their operation in Bellville South.


Areas of responsibility

  • Understand the Food Safety Management System as it relates to Receiving and manufacturing of food.
  • Manage, control and pass Food safety audits (FSA) and must have completed this in the past and minimum 2 consecutive audits passed.
  • Able to control, implement and achieve traceability in manufacturing process.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, allergen control and housekeeping standards.
  • Manage and mentor a team with regards to Food Safety and Quality responsibilities.
  • Manage and ensure all paperwork pertaining to Food safety is kept and controlled.
  • Have experience in training staff in general hygiene/code of conduct/company policy.
  • Be able to work with, measure and communicate with service providers pertaining to cleaning chemicals, pest control and waste management.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Must be super organized, disciplined, meticulously clean.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Have a positive energetic attitude and enjoy an ever changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Own transport ESSENTIAL

Working hours (NOT NEGOTIABLE)
Monday - Friday: 08h00-17h00

Every second Saturday: 08h00 - 13h00


Salary:

Negotiable depending on experience
