Description

Our client is a luxury travel company operating in East Africa and they are seeking an East African Specialist to join their team in Cape Town.

As an East African Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and sales support to our Retail Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:

Provide expert advice and sales support to the Retail Sales Manager.
Develop customized travel itineraries for customers.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Continuously update your knowledge of the East African travel industry.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth travel operations.
Attend industry events and travel exhibitions to promote our brand.
Provide training and support to junior sales team members.

Requirements:

Relevant professional work experience in luxury safari sales and/or travel planning in East Africa.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A deep understanding and passion for safari travel in East Africa.
Strong knowledge of East African travel products, services, and suppliers.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be available to start as soon as possible.

Salary for this intermediate/senior position is R25000 to R35000 plus quarterly commission and benefits.
