Purpose:

The Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for managing and mitigating credit risk within a group of companies.

The role will involve developing and implementing policies and procedures to identify, assess, and manage credit risk, ensuring that all credit risks are adequately measured, monitored, and reported whilst ensuring maximum customer retention.


Qualifications:


  • 5 Years Financial Management experience


  • B.Com degree

  • CA(SA) would be advantageous

  • Comprehensive management accounting experience

Duties:


  • Ensuring the financial transactions are processed accurately and in time
  • Preparing and submitting of VAT returns
  • Preparing of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Approval of monthly creditor reconciliations
  • Managing of creditors team
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register
  • Overseeing the annual fixed asset verification process
  • Ensuring that supplier accounts are paid within due dates
  • Engaging with suppliers to resolve account disputes when necessary
  • Calculation of monthly inter company interest
  • Processing of monthly accounting journals
  • Monthly (random) petty cash check
  • Daily update of exchange rates in NAV
  • Efiling submissions and payments
  • Quarterly statistical compilation of data for STATS SA
  • Submitting six monthly staff performance appraisals
  • Reconciliation of all rebates receivable and payable
  • Assist auditors during annual audit
  • Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Authorization of bank beneficiaries and vendor payments
  • Upon request from SARS provide financial information and clarification for SARS audits
