Company Overview:
An international specialist project freight forwarder based on the East Rand that offers comprehensive logistics solutions for businesses involved in trade between China and South Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strong network of trade relationships with corporates in both South Africa and China.
- Generate new business opportunities and drive sales growth in the China/SA trade lane.
- Understand and navigate the complexities of Chinese cultures and business customs to effectively negotiate and close deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of logistics operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fluent Mandarin speaking and excellent understanding of Chinese cultures and business customs.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional sales experience, preferably with a focus on trade between South Africa and China.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining trade relationships with corporates from an export and import perspective.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Previous experience in logistics is advantageous, but not essential.
