Kendrick Recruitment is in search of a motivated and skilled
Camp Manager to join the team and contribute to the seamless operation of a prestigious
Field Guide Training College. As the Camp Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the day-to-day logistics of the college are impeccably organized, thereby contributing to the overall success of all training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee daily operations, including managing kitchen and housekeeping staff.
- Ensure the menu aligns with student dietary requirements and meals are supplied promptly.
- Monitor camp maintenance and equipment to ensure swift response and proper upkeep.
- Maintain a consistently neat and inviting camp environment.
- Manage HR duties, including leave management, for kitchen, housekeeping, and trainers.
- Ensure accurate and uptodate camp administration and filing.
Financial Management:
- Manage invoices and student payments, ensuring timely followup.
- Collaborate with finance to track payments, allocations, and generate precise reports.
- Handle monthly petty cash and credit card allocations.
Student Support:
- Provide assistance and liaison for students during their camp stay.
- Maintain a wellstocked bookshop with relevant materials.
- Supervise student and staff uniform arrangements.
Marketing and Quality Assurance:
- Assist with website and social media activities as required.
- Ensure adherence to FGASA exam and workbook guidelines.
- Manage student portfolios of evidence and oversee certificate issuance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Essential previous administrative/supervisory experience.
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Minimum 1 year of bush experience as a Field Guide (advantageous).
- FGASA Level 1 qualification (advantageous), related field qualification (advantageous).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong focus on guest/student experience and dedication to the MFC brand.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude, team collaboration, and emotional resilience.
- Outstanding time management, interpersonal, and problemsolving abilities.
- Attention to detail and adherence to hygiene principles.
- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of creative problemsolving under pressure.
- Leadership skills and a passion for skills development and transfer.
Remuneration:
- R15,000
- R18,000 (Dependent on Experience) with livein arrangement.
