As an exciting and unique education and training technology company, we have a vacancy for a vibrant, highly driven and well-presented Event Management Associate with experience in the education and training industry, a robust network and interpersonal skills to market, manage and deliver the company's activation and event products.


You will be responsible for the creation, sales and delivery of the company's CSI Programmes, event management, hosting and logistics of the company's in-person courses, corporate activations and drone racing league events.

You must have the ability to work independently on a project or in a team environment. The ability to effectively communicate results to management in a fast-paced environment is necessary.


This role is an integral part of ensuring the company continues to develop relevant, applicable and "thought leading" event experiences that align with our target market needs, business growth and brand recognition.


Responsibilities

Sales

  • Identifying and securing clients (corporate sponsors and donors, students, schools, tertiary institutions and relevant education industry stakeholders) to approach regarding the ocmpany's products, including school and corporate activations, team building products and events.
  • Identifying and approach prospective clients and arrange meetings.
  • Drafting proposals:Identifying the needs and requirements of prospective clients.
Drafting bespoke proposals.
Liaising and following up with prospective clients.


Corporate Social Investment Programmes and Academies

  • Working closely with the Sales and Training Departments, responsible for the conceptualization, sale and delivery of the company's CSI product offerings.
  • Management and coordination of all relevant stakeholders on programme delivery.

Logistics

  • Oversee all confirmed events with the relevant internal departments.
  • Manage all events with customers, venues and hosts.
  • Manage all inventory and branding at all events.
  • Liaise with the team internally on all equipment requirements.

Event management

  • Ensure event information is provided to all relevant stakeholders in advance of each event.
  • Work with the various venues, event organisers, clubs and service providers on event needs.
  • Liaise with all relevant service providers and suppliers on requirements per event.
  • Distribute relevant information to all other respective suppliers and service providers on site.

School & Holiday activations and events

  • Compile and maintain the database of schools to approach regarding events and demonstrations.
  • Manage the course calendar.
  • Manage the service providers, venue and instructors per event.
  • Work with Operations Manager to ensure instructors have sufficient drone kit and inventory is in working order.

Corporate Activations/ Team-building events

  • Compile and maintain the database of corporations to approach regarding team building events.
  • Liaise with corporate clients on all event management & logistics requirements.
  • Manage the corporate calendar per venue.
  • Manage the service providers, venue and instructors per event.

Demonstrations & Expo participation

  • Manage the event calendar.
  • Manage the service providers, venue and instructors per event.
  • Liaise with clients on all event management and logistics requirements.
  • Ensure instructors have sufficient equipment and the inventory is in working order.

Administration

  • Liaise with the Operations Manager and team regarding all external enquiries.
Identify revenues opportunities with all external event bookings where possible through up-sales.


Qualifications

Key Requirements:


  • Tertiary education qualifications.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken), with a third African language being beneficial.
  • Proven track record of successful CSI programme and event management experience (minimum 3 years).
  • Experience in the CSI, event management and education industries.
  • Prepared to work after hours and weekends within reason.
  • Must be interested in 4IR and disruptive technologies.
  • Must have own transport.
  • Brand fit.

  • Proficient computer literacy (all Microsoft Office products).

Salary: R R20 000 per month_
