  • Job Description
  • Investigating cases of infectious diseases, implements required prevention programmes and controls the tracing of carriers and contacts, in order to eliminate the source and risk of further infection.
  • Assumes responsibility for surface sanitation services and resultant nuisances due to structural or other effects, in order to assure efficient and costeffective service in compliance with the Public Health and National Building Regulations.
  • Monitor and advises on the standard of sanitary equipment, to assure compliance with Group Standards as regards durability, efficiency and cost.
  • Implementing and maintaining a proper programme to eradicate all pests that could be harmful to the well being of the employees and investigates complaints to assure compliance with Health and Group Standards.
  • Monitoring of pest control programmes.

Technical work responsibilities:

  • Keeping record of all operations, soft and hard copies.
  • Sending information through on the Public Health Programme.
  • Follow the SHE department's guidelines on record keeping and operational procedures.
  • Monitoring schedules are adhered to
  • Sites are routinely inspected and audited
  • Impacts and incidents reported and followedup.
  • Qualifications
  • National Diploma in Environmental Health
  • B.Tech Degree in Environmental Health/Management
  • Registered with the Professional Health Council of S.A.
  • Five years experience.
