Scope and General Purpose of the Job:

  • To take over the co-ordination of our marketing plan, including the Public Relations function.
  • To create an inhouse sales, marketing plan. Coordinate these activities through team work to achieve the expected results.
  • To create relationship with the support team of HS&V to improve sales results in all departments.
  • Coordinate and produce an achievable marketing strategy in order to improve sales in all of the departments within the hotel, including the Spa, F&B, Conferencing and Rooms.
  • Analyses guest complaints and recommends solutions and improvements to remain result driven.
  • To assist in establishing Erinvale Estate Hotel and Spa as a market leader within the hotel industry and to become a household name within the community and the industry alike.
  • To create new opportunities for consideration to showcase the hotel locally, nationally and internationally.
  • To achieve the highest standard of guest relations and customer satisfaction.

Specific Duties:


  • Host monthly Marketing meetings with the heads of department and mangers, distribute meeting agenda and meeting minutes together with marketing reports.
  • Marketing Plan should include (but not limited to) a separate strategy for F&B, Spa, Conferencing, Events, opportunities and special promotions.
  • Organise, market and attend all hotel events.
  • Brief required artwork of items needed for all Marketing promotions and events.
  • Ensure the timeous update of hotel website
  • News, Specials and Events, latest updated menus, pricing and Conference and Wedding Packs.
  • Responsible for daily Social Media check on all Social channels, ensure response to guests questions/ requests if required, contribute to content images, video content, special offer and promotions.
  • Communicate daily hotel happenings on the Social Media What's App group images and
notifications to assist Marlize with managing the platforms.

  • Implementation, management and training of loyalty programmes including iPrefer and Frequent Flyer programmes.
  • Update the various databases from comment cards, online reviews and sales reports.
Ensure timeous orders of all branded stationary and marketing collateral and menu requirements.

  • Daily attends to guest and customer wellbeing and meets and greets guests at every possible opportunity.
  • Assisting team members with day to day marketing tasks and coordinating marketing projects and activities as requested.
  • Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Contact person for arranging site inspections and sales team events as well as conducting site inspections where possible.
  • Ensure that the sales manager is updated regularly on events, news and updates happening at the hotel.
  • Assists in researching of competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications, etc.

General Duties

  • Maintains a high standard of customer relations and personal contact with guests and
ensures that guest complaints are dealt with immediately and efficiently and are reported to the General Manager.

  • Creates an atmosphere of team work and cooperation.
  • To ensure that all deadlines are met for reports as requested by management or head office. Be it daily, weekly or monthly reports, including internal reports.
  • Always attends and is attentive to any training offered.
  • Attends to all meetings assigned to, and always provides a positive contribution, assistance and team spirit.
  • Be familiar with all fire, safety and emergency procedures and to be able to communicate them to guests and staff reporting to her.
  • Confidentiality: All written and verbal communication accessible to the employee relating to

the company, management and hotel guests are to be confidential and not to be disclosed to any third party or otherwise.

This includes names, addresses and personal details of all nature.

  • To perform other duties, and / or overtime, when so required.
  • To attend training sessions, courses and meetings as and when required.
