Knowledge, skills & abilities:


  • Matric or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 1 years proven working experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to organize
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • An outgoing extremely presentable personality who projects personal and product confidence
  • Ability to use battery and electronic testing instruments, voltage recording, diagnostic machinery and surface mount repair where applicable to bench technician level
  • Understanding of charging system parameters and solar configurators
  • Indepth knowledge of different battery and charging system technologies
  • Knowledge of stores management and recordkeeping

Purpose:
To liaise with customers on a daily basis and establish needs within scope of training and service positions in order to provide client satisfaction and ongoing brand awareness


Key Performance Areas (KPAs):


  • To ensure that warranty and associated technical issues are dealt with a professional, courteous and timeous manner
  • To ensure maintenance of tools, equipment and products while in testing phases
  • To liaise with Group Warranty & Product Support in order to ensure daily tasks are accomplished within established timeframes
  • To collect and/or deliver product to client where applicable, and maintain an effective Public Relations profile with regard to the company
  • Electrical connector systems both D.C. and A.C., such as Anderson and Schneider products
  • Client technical interaction and satisfaction management interaction at company director level
  • Planning and strategizing time management skills
  • Ability to set up product demonstrations, trade shows and client product shows at branches
  • Ensuring warranty processes and testing are followed from initial collection and paperwork management through to final client resolution
  • Strategizing on processes and procedures to facilitate ease of product management
  • Ensuring smooth daily running of warranty and training related tasks
  • Responsibility for recordkeeping and time management of the repair, warranty and training processes
  • Ensuring that returns and training are performed within the allocated time frames
  • Ensuring that abuse of products is prevented by ensuring client knowledge levels are satisfactory
  • Analysis and processing of faults within stipulated time frames and procedures
  • Ensure timeous resolution of client/product disputes
  • Communication between sales team, technical team and clients
  • Compilation and analysis of reports relating to warranties, training and trends within the job parameters
  • Immediate communication of issues to relevant supervisors regarding product defects or dissatisfied clients
  • Maintenance of tooling and equipment
  • Advising management of defective equipment and ensuring repair or replacement of same
  • Ensuring that product in bulk stores is maintained at optimum usage level
  • Ensure that stock levels are checked
  • Accept accountability for lost, missing or damaged product and equipment
  • Resolve daily technical queries and enquiries for the group
  • Ensuring that clients and company employees have correct training and equipment to sell and maintain product range
  • Site visits to clients where applicable
