purpose:


  • To provide expertise, advice and support by executing data modelling standards, principles, frameworks and tools within area of accountability; under guidance and supervision designing and developing of logical and physical data models and databases to meet the needs of the organisation's information systems and business requirements; and coordinate and proritise data modelling within business area
    experience and qualifications:


  • Minimum Qualification

  • Computer Science, Data Science, Technical Science or relevant Information Systems Degree


  • Preferred Qualification

  • Relevant Honours Degree
  • Experience 3 to 4 years experience in a data environment with handson relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience experience (using relational database management systems (RDBMS), dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and extract, transform, load (ETL) and data ingestion protocols). Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multidatacenter contexts required


  • Additional Knowledge

  • Knowledge of logical data modelling, and use of industry data models (e.g., IBM, Teradata, etc.). Understanding of the Inmon methodology
