JOB STATEMENT

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Sourcing

Supplier Base Development:
drive identification, evaluation, qualification and development of new suppliers locally. Define and own preferred local supplier base for responsible Business Line
Sourcing Strategy Development in line with Business Line and local

Market Area Strategy:
prepare and execute sourcing strategies for all relevant material and service categories.
Drive local Sourcing initiatives and ensure BBBEE preferential procurement targets are met.

Supplier Negotiations:
negotiate framework agreements, including pricelists, and manage contracts, maintain documentation, and contract database

Supplier Relationship Management:
execute SRM for strategic suppliers, own commercial relationships as vendor owner

Supplier Performance Management:
set performance targets, monitor and evaluate long-term supplier performance against agreed criteria, and agree actions on systematic deviations and drive continuous improvement, Manage and Monitor vendor Quality Non-conformances

Demand Forecast:
share the high-level demand projections with key suppliers, collaborate with Technical Sales Support, Business Lines and Project Managers

Product Development:
participate in cross-functional teams working on product concepts, ensure supplier capabilities, resourcing and procurement commercial aspects considered and secured

Supplier Compliance and Sustainability:
own Supplier Code of Conduct compliance, qualify new suppliers and drive supplier sustainability engagement program.

Lead time reduction and availability:
identify and implement supplier lead times and availability improvement initiatives

Cost Savings and Avoidance:
negotiate cost savings and ensure KPI targets are met and Cost Avoidance is implemented to reduce impact of price increases

On Time Arrival:
support Operational Purchasing to ensure OTA targets are met in line with Business Area level target

Areas of Responsibility

Beneficiation, Dewatering and Hydrometallurgy
Commercial components

RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Senoir Manager Sourcing

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL INTERFACES
Alignment between Technical Sales Support, Global Business Lines, Product Lines, and Operational Purchasing
Manages Services Project Procurement and ensures close collaboration with Delivery Teams
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
CIPS would be advantageous
Minimum years Procurement experience in Engineering, Mining or Minerals Processing Industry
Proven ability to work in a global environment

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong technical background with experience in Mining equipment and OEM products
Strong customer focus with ability to balance quality, availability and price equation
Capabilities to work in a global matrix organization
Good knowledge and understanding of commercial terms and conditions
Strong communication skills, adequately addressing all internal & external stakeholders
Knowledge of business tools (SAP, JAGGAER Direct, Sievo, PowerBI, Salesforce)
Ability to work in a dynamic and diverse working environment and interact with multiple functions globally
Embraces change with a strong drive to continuously improve the business processes
Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
