An established construction company in Bloemfontein is seeking a Economic Development Manager to join their team.

Duties

The ED Manager will meet all ED compliance requirements by effectively engaging and leveraging all stakeholders.
Work closely with the Bid Coordinator, Contracts Manager and IR Manager, as well as work closely with the clients on all ED related matters.
The ED Manager will report to the Bid Coordinator, whom reports to the Operations Director and the Managing Director.
Manage and support the ED administrators, providing ED services, be consistent with Project Agreements, Service Level Agreements and Project rules in place and update same as appropriate from timetotime.
Ensure that ED Administrators comply with their job requirements.
Coordinate and ensure alignment of the BBB-EE requirements with regards to ED.
Understand the local manufacturing industry (upstream and downstream) and its ability to deliver local content into Government tenders.
Understand the job creation potential in Renewable Energy projects.

Requirements:

Grade 1
Have knowledge in working within the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme.
Proficient MS Office (Advanced Level)
Strong administrative skills to ensure the Company and the Project systems and processes are implemented with regard to Economic Development.
Lead and facilitate teamwork to ensure efficiency, profitability and meet deadlines for Project specific reports.
Be a Teamplayer and be able to demonstrate leadership qualities.
Have the ability to perform under pressure.
Have strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
A valid Driver's Licence and own reliable transport
