MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To analyze ,develop, assess, implement and facilitate Leadership Development Plans/Programs across the sales division.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Leadership Development Programs

  • Formalize in conjunction with the sales management team, the identification, selection, and appointment process for future Sales Leaders
  • Formalize in conjunction with the Head of Training and Sales management team, the plan to support the appointed of 2IC per campaign.

This should include but not limited to:

  • The role and responsibilities of the 2IC
  • Team leaders' responsibilities/ activities to support the 2IC.
  • Sales managers intervention and monitoring
  • Remuneration / incentives
  • Measurements & levels of accountability / success factors
  • Development plans / external support from the training department
  • Embed the 2IC model into the operational environment by ensuring the process can be replicated with ease. This will require upskill of the team leaders and sales manager on the program.
  • Together with the management team, identify a suitable name for the program.
  • Develop programs across all Sales Leadership Tiers, ie:
  • Team Leaders
  • Jnr Sales Manager
  • Sales Manager
  • Prepare a formal rollout plans and communicate with Business.

Rising Stars Program ( Emerging leaders )

  • Facilitation of the program Soft Skills, must have sound knowledge of Sales Leadership Operating Rhythms, Challenges, and Identify Development Areas.
  • Continuous enhancement, assessment, evaluation and analysis existing of programs.
  • Work with Content Developer on fresh material for all programs

Sales Leadership Development

  • Conduct a skills gap analysis and provide a proposed plan of action to actively address the gaps within the Sales Leadership.
  • After consultation with all new appointed Leaders create individual development plans for a period of 3 months. This should aid accelerate their development and integration into the role.
  • In partnership with the sale management host conversations to discuss the development plan, review periods and support required.
  • Establish, execute, and monitor the rollout of leadership development programs as required by business.

Team Leader Performance Management Improvement

  • Evaluate the team leader performance improvement plan currently used and recommend developmental activities to be include.
  • Partner with Sales Managers to work on an assessment tool to monitor trends of TLs performance.
  • Create the necessary tools to support the performance improvement process and make recommendations with a view to enhance the development of leaders.

Coaching Support

  • Experience in Sales Coaching programs and the role of TLs and Sales Managers in the Coaching Process.
  • Incorporate the current Coaching Strategy into the developments plans for Team Leaders
  • Coaching model (GROW)
  • Coaching template / tool to be used.
  • Coaching process (aligned to TS)
  • Create buyin on the benefits of coaching.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Matric
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Solid knowledge of Outbound Sales Operational requirements
  • Previous Operational Sales Management experience
  • Certification in Leadership coaching from an accredited coaching program an advantage.
  • Experience in facilitating leadership development & coaching workshops within an Outbound Sales Environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge of leadership theories and practices
  • Facilitation of Leadership Programs that entails EQ and Leadership Skills is a must.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to present programs and outcomes to Senior Level Leadership
