This is an excellent opportunity to work with a driven and passionate team focused on providing an incomparable experience. We are looking for a Cashier to join the Food & Beverage team.


Requirements:

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for answering the telephones using the appropriate etiquette, in accordance to LQA standards.
  • Take the guest order, always trying to use suggestive/ upselling techniques.
  • Provide an expected delivery time for the guest's order.
  • Ensure guests special requests are communicated to the Kitchen.
  • Monitor guest orders to ensure all orders are delivered on time.
  • Accurately posts payments to the POS system.
  • Ensure trays are promptly removed from the floors once the guest has finished.
  • Assist with F&B Attendant duties as and when required.
  • Complete any additional reasonable requests by management as and when required.
  • Be knowledgeable of the complete food and beverage offering.
  • Assist in keeping the outlet clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing dirty glassware and dishes, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying the trash bins.
  • Ensure that the dining and or bar area, waitron stations, back of house preparation areas and all equipment such as tables, chairs, linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, buffet equipment and utensils etc. are cleaned polished at all times.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
  • 1 2 years relevant experience in a similar position within a 4 or 5star hotel environment
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of food menu and wine list.
  • Computer literate.
