Organizational Overview:
TechnoServe is a non-profit organization that aims to build sustainable businesses in developing countries
to drive economic growth and reduce poverty. The organization operates in the South Africa Enterprise
Development arena through three key active programmes: Women Entrepreneurship Programme SA, Youth
and Women Business in Tech and the Youth Ideas Development Programme. The goal of this work is to
Promote and increase the visibility of the entrepreneurs who have participated in the programme.


Objectives:

  • Developing and distributing press releases, media pitches, and other media
materials to generate coverage of the entrepreneurs who have participated in the
programme.


  • Organize Media Interviews
Online media (e.g. Finance Bunny, Small Business Podcast by Bulelani - Township
Entrepreneur, Money Web, Cliff Central, Alan Raize, Tik Tok, Influencer streams) x
5 or more podcasts monthly,
Conventional traditional media (e.g. Metro FM e.g. Wednesday Morning Small
business advisor, Talk 702, Kaya FM eg. Gugulethu Business Show, Power FM, 94,7,
YFM, SAFM, Cape Talk, East Coast Radio, ALL SABC Vernac Stations x At least 3 or
more x radio interviews monthly.
Print media interviews (e.g., Daily Maverick, SNL24, News24, Times, Briefly).
Mainstream Radio Stations and TV stations (Saturday Weekend Live Show, SABC
NEWS, ENEWS and regional media
NB these are only to provide an example of the media interviews we seek to secure.

  • Prepping Entrepreneurs & TechnoServe staff for Interviews, the intention is to reach
potential clients or prospective funders/investors for the entrepreneur. Whilst
TechnoServe aims to share the impact results and info about our work with prospective
entrepreneurs and prospective donors.

  • Monitoring media coverage and tracking the impact of public relations efforts
on the visibility and reputation of the Enterprise Development Programme and its
entrepreneurs.

  • Providing regular reports on public relations activities and their impact on the Enterprise
Development Programme's visibility and reputation and Podcasts and copies for ALL
conducted interviews.


Timeframe:
The work is expected to carry out from July to October.
LOE is 15 Days


Conclusion:
We appreciate your commitment and effort in preparing your proposals. We will carefully evaluate all
proposals received and select the most qualified vendor based on our evaluation criteria.
