The Systems Manager role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless implementation, optimization, and continuous support of the Core Group warehouse management systems.

This role will be play a critical role in shaping the future of our warehouse management, ultimately contributing to enhanced efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

This role will align Systems initiatives with organisational goals to drive operational efficiency and enhance overall business performance.


Responsibilities include:


  • Overseeing both systems and people change management, by Emphasizing training and communication, the lead empowers warehouse teams to effectively utilize WMS technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge transfer
- translating operational requirements into system needs,
- and managing the entire lifecycle of WMS projects from inception to continuous improvement.

  • Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams, warehouse staff, and external consultants,
  • Establishing best practices, streamlines processes, and maximizes the effectiveness of WMS solutions and SOP's.
  • Additionally, they ensure the maintenance of robust support and maintenance frameworks to uphold system stability, data integrity, and business continuity.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Relevant Tertiary qualification.
  • 5 to 7 years of warehouse operations and WMS experience, preferably on Manhattan SCALE WMS.
  • Experience in WMS and ERP systems environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrable experience in full lifecycle implementations for medium to largesized projects, with various large scale integrations into other systems.
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks effectively in highpressure environments.
  • Uptodate knowledge of new technologies in the field.

Role and Key Performance Areas:


1) System Implementation and Stabilisation:


  • Ensure comprehensive Go-Live readiness for all system implementations.
  • Establish and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
  • Provide thorough training to warehouse teams and facilitate continuous learning sessions.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues during system stabilisation.
  • Define implementation goals aligned with organisational objectives and conduct postimplementation reviews.
  • Facilitate crossdepartmental integration and communication.

2) System Optimisation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse processes and conduct regular assessments.
  • Manage configuration changes and ensure seamless integration between systems.
  • Provide training and communication on system changes.
  • Establish a framework for continuous improvement and implement performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and implement industry best practices.

3) Training:


  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for warehouse processes.
  • Update training documentation regularly and collaborate with training teams.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding for new employees and assess training success.

4) System Support and Maintenance:


  • Define and implement a comprehensive support plan for the WMS.
  • Monitor SLAs and manage escalations with vendors.
  • Document support models and lead proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Establish a robust disaster recovery plan and collaborate with finance teams on budget management.

5) Documentation:


  • Maintain detailed configuration documents and SOPs for operations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on updates and ensure version control.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base and facilitate knowledgesharing sessions.

6) Cross-Functional Collaboration:


  • Collaborate extensively with various teams to identify and implement process changes.
  • Ensure seamless integration and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Establish crossfunctional task forces and foster a collaborative environment.

7) Reporting and Data Management:


  • Oversee master data accuracy and generate comprehensive reports for KPIs.
  • Collaborate with BI teams for custom reports and implement data governance policies.
  • Enhance data visualisation and implement analytics tools for actionable insights.
