Responsibilities:

Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including safety standards, environmental regulations, and transportation laws.
Oversee vessel and fleet management activities
Continuously evaluate and improve processes to streamline operations and optimize productivity.
Manage the operations team in different sub areas of South Africa using the key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed
Must be familiar with the SA Oil and Gas regulations
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and successful project execution.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business administration, Logistics, Marine management, or a related field (preferred)

- +10 years working experience in Oil & Gas industry

Indepth knowledge of transportation and logistics operations, marine industry and personnel management. Vessel Agency, Brokerage, Port operations(will be an added advantage)
Knowledge of logistics in the Oil and Gas energy industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions to complex challenges.
Familiarity with relevant software and technology platforms used in logistics/cargo management
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Possession of a valid drivers licence
Strong value system ethics and compliance is a must.
Familiarity with the South African Provinces.
