Client Responsibilities:

  • Manage engagement economics and communicate key issues to partners and clients.
  • Assist in generating new business opportunities and building client relationships.
  • Identify ways to enhance service offerings for clients.
  • Build internal relationships and apply risk management policies effectively.
  • Maximize operational efficiency and improve practices.
  • Strengthen EY's brand through external relationships.
  • Provide strategic insights and anticipate client needs.
  • Maximize business development opportunities.
  • Participate in the Audit Quality Review process.
  • Defend audit work during internal or external inspections.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • CA(SA) qualification
  • Thorough knowledge of auditing techniques
  • Experience in the entire audit process
  • Understanding of IFRS, local GAAP, risk-based auditing, and quality & risk management
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Banking and financial services auditing experience
  • Minimum 5 years post articles Audit experience
  • Strong technical skills and work experience
  • Record with a blue-chip audit firm preferred
  • Professional accountancy qualification
  • Strong academic background
