Information Technology Lecturer at our Mbombela campus on a permanent basis.***
Type of appointment:
Permanent appointment
Purpose:
- To lecture Information Technologyrelated modules, in the faculty on a fulltime basis.
- To assist in the administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the academic department.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum qualifications required:
- BSc Honours degree in Computer Science or
- BSc Honours degree in Information Technology (majoring in Programming and Mathematics)
Experience:
- 1 2 years or relevant lecturing experience
- Necessary knowledge of higher education practices and processes
- Relevant research experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
Modules to be lectured:
- Database Systems
- Programming in Python, C#, Java
- Software Process Architecture Design
- Web Programming
- Cloud Based Technologies
- AI Ethics and Privacy
- Web Server Management
- IT Project Management
- Mobile Application Development in Android
- Data Structures in Java, C#, and Python
Responsibilities:
- Lecturing
- General administration
- Setting and marking of assessments
- Preparation of notes and additional study materials
- Quality Assurance
- Management of Atrisk students
