The Impact You'll Make in this Role


As a Product Stewardship at 3M South Africa, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.


Here, you will make an impact by:

  • _ Focusing on implementing the SOP (Standard operation procedure)_
- _ Assure 3M products (new, modified or imported), intermediates and raw materials comply with 3M Corporate Policies Local Regulatory Requirements and 3M Customer Requirements related to Product Environmental Health & Safety_
- _ Ensuring business continuity for new and old products imported to South Africa Region_
- _ Leading and performing technical activities leading to regulatory compliance, assessment of safety to human health and the environment, liability avoidance, and product responsibility issues concerning existing or new chemicals, materials, products, hardgoods (where appropriate), and/or technologies or processes having significant importance to the division._

Your Skills and Expertise
- _ University degree, field of Chemical (preferred), Electrical and Mechanical_
- _ Minimum 4-year experience in similar roles_
- _ Experience of Import material, experience with South Africa FDA and import departments related_
- _ Professional English language knowledge_
- _ Familiarity with SARS (The South African Revenue Service, the revenue service of the South African government)_
- _ Ability to understand the technical phrases, and background._
- _ Understanding the SOP (Standard operation procedure) implementing._
- _ Ability to use computer in general and especially Programs (enterprise resource planning software developed (SAP), life cycle management (LCM), eta)_
