LECTURER (2 YEAR CONTRACT) IN THE DEPARTMENT OF GEOLOGY AT RHODES UNIVERSITY

  • The Department of Geology seeks qualified applicants for a twoyear contract position in the field of sedimentology. Teaching obligations include undergraduate and postgraduate courses in clastic and chemical sedimentology, related field courses, and introductory (1st year) level courses in other fields of geology. The incumbent is expected to develop research projects involving junior postgraduate students (BSc honours/4th year). Rhodes University is located close to several attractive targets for sedimentological research, such as the Palaeozoic Cape and the Mesozoic Karoo Supergroups, and the Jurassic/Cretaceous Algoa Basin.
