Our client, a well-established agricultural company, is looking to employ a logistics manager to oversee the warehouse, workshop and inland freight operations on a national level.

Position based in Johannesburg but regular travel to Cape Town expected.


Duties & Responsibilities

- Warehouse:


  • Manage a full staff compliment of employees including Supervisor and Controllers.
  • Planning, organizing, and executing all deliveries, receipts and dispatch of products.
  • Efficient Routing and scheduling of daily loads

- Workshops:


  • Ensure timely assembly of goods by the technicians.
  • Planning, organizing, and executing all deliveries, receipts and dispatch of products.
  • Efficient Routing and scheduling of daily loads

- Training:


  • Identifying appropriate training needs and ensuring staff receive relevant training.
Maintain strict discipline and adhere to company policies.

Understand and improve operating procedures.

Building maintenance.

Health and Safety.

Manage direct expenses and overheads, and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the business.


Experience & Skill's

  • Threeyear Degree/Diploma in Logistics
  • 10+ years in middle Management
  • Experience in warehouse environment
  • Experience in planning and stock control
  • Understanding safe workplace practices and requirements
  • Administration and organizational skills
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
  • Full Computer literate

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Gauteng, Gauteng: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employerprovided relocation package (required)

Education:


  • Bachelors (preferred)

Experience:

Logistic Management: 10 years (preferred)


Language:


  • Afrikaans (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (preferred)
