An Access Systems company based in Houghton Estates/Johannesburg is currently seeking a Service Technician to deliver top quality field services to the company's customers and ensure:
Preventive maintenance - Corrective maintenance - installation

The mission includes permanent travels in the assigned territory and frequent travels nationwide also on duty 24/7 working time

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities
Handle assigned incidents at customer site (analyse, repairs ) according to the company's Services and Commitments.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on the company's solutions at customer site (HW and SW)

Ensure good customer relationship at customer site during his/her missions

Handle systems (HW/SW) installation tasks

Provide 1st level support to customers by answering demands and/or anticipating needs

Assist Support Engineers in complex problem solving

Ensure 1st and 2nd level support remotely (phone) as part of the on-duty helpdesk tasks

Keep his/her skills up to date: participate to trainings, read documentation, look proactively for technical information

Comply with the rules processes


Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in similar position

N2, N3, N4 in electronics

IT qualifications that would also be good is A+ and N+

MS Windows Server experience, IT networking knowledge would be beneficial


Skills and Knowledge:

Proven experience in delivering maintenance services of complex systems (HW/SW)

Technical diagnostics, analysis, root causes

Strong experience and proven skills in SW and HW maintenance and installation

Knowledge of MS Windows Server environment, networking, SQL DBs

Remote maintenance

Customer relationship


Social and Personal competences:

Available for on-duty services 24/7

Available for frequent travels nationwide (installations)

Driving license mandatory

Problem solving, customer service orientation

Self-resilient, committed

Ability to work under pressure
