Description

  • To inspect and certify reporting systems as well as monitor and report on all cross border transactions.
  • Detailed Description
  • To engage in short term planning and perform tasks against work plans as defined in conjunction with team leader.
  • To work independently within established inspection best practices, processes, rules, and regulations ensuring compliance with standards, policies and other guidelines.
  • To deliver work that meets the time and quality standards set by senior staff leading to effective daily monitoring and reporting of all reportable transactions.
  • To engage with internal stakeholders and participate in meetings with external stakeholders
  • To participate in the testing of new authorised dealer reporting systems against set requirements and standards.
  • To participate in onsite visits and identify reporting exceptions.
  • To perform general administrative duties including but not limited to the preparation of written correspondence to authorised dealers.
  • To analyse information, prepare reports based on findings and provide regular status updates to team leader.
  • To evaluate own performance against given criteria, identify and address task specific learning needs.
  • To proactively broaden knowledge and keep abreast of changes in policies, regulations of functional area, displaying willingness to make improvements in own work (including methods and practices).
  • Job Requirements
  • A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or Informatics, IT Auditing or equivalent at NQF
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience performing IT auditing, general system control reviews, IT security reviews, IT governance and data analysis preferably in the financial sector.
  • Additional requirements are as follows:
  • Knowledge of the Operations manual for reporting.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management and compliance practices and standards.
  • Knowledge of exchange control legislation, governance, risk and compliance.
  • Knowledge of COBIT and COSO frameworks.
  • Competence in data analytics tools ( e.g. SAS or ACL).
  • Competence in Microsoft office software packages ( e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills (including presentation and report writing skills).
  • Business continuity planning knowledge.
