Senior Maintenance Fitter and Turner - Germiston.

We are currently seeking an experienced and certified Red Seal Maintenance Fitter and Turner to join our client's maintenance team.

Requirements:

Must possess a valid Red Seal Fitter and Turner certification.
A minimum of 10 years of handson experience in maintenance, with a focus on decoiling, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and address issues quickly and effectively.
Proficient in the use of tools and equipment related to fitting and turning tasks and maintenance activities.
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
Ability to adapt to changing maintenance requirements and new technologies in the field.
Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills to work seamlessly within a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance activities on machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
Perform precision fitting and turning tasks to repair or replace wornout components, ensuring the continued functionality of machinery.
Handle decoiling processes as part of maintenance requirements, troubleshooting any issues that may arise during operation.
Utilize your expertise in pneumatics and hydraulics to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems integral to our operations.
Conduct scheduled inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and address them proactively to prevent breakdowns.
Respond to emergency repair requests promptly to minimize production interruptions and maintain a smooth workflow.
Work closely with other maintenance professionals and production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure efficient operation.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and scheduled maintenance, for reference and analysis.
