Job Purpose:
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding overall product solution and driving future product strategy,
- Ability to produce Product Roadmaps and Business Cases for specific products,
- Knowledge of qualitative research with our clients, and running focus groups and testing prototypes,
- Complete ownership of the product backlog, ensuring it is visible, up to date, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the scrum team will work on next
- Optimising the value of the work the development team performs through effective prioritisation
- Ensuring the development team understands items in the product backlog to the level required
- Tracks total work delivered and remaining per sprint, and compares to previous sprints to assess progress against the desired goal, and makes this info transparent to all stakeholders
- Provide input into commercial discussions and proposals Idea Generation
- Oversee Impact Assessments with input from BA and Sales
- Build business cases including estimated revenue, cost, and time for all relevant projects
- Participating in client discussions with a Salesperson and the BA on the initial scope clarification and active participation in scoping sessions
- Working with Marketing on ensuring we are using the best distribution channels and messages for the Product;
- Communicating the impact of changes to clients
- Collaborate with the development team to negotiate the scope of the sprint backlog during a sprint
- Conduct solutioning workshops with internal/external clients and delivery teams
- Ensuring TFS reflects up to date product view
- Attends and leads Sprint Planning and Sprint Review, and participate in the team's Sprint Retrospective
- Reporting on the progress of sprints, projects and strategic initiatives using burndown, velocity and forecast charts
- Updating Vertical Head and PO Forum with project tracking and forward planning
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in relevant field
- Rolerelated certifications advantageous
Experience (required):
- B2C and B2B product experience required
- 3+ years' experience as a product owner
- 3+ years' experience in Product owner practices and techniques
Experience (Advantageous):
- Understanding the Product life Cycle for New and Existing products
- Ability to produce a Product Journey and Strategy
- Ability to test and experiment with products, and do qualitative research with our clients;
- Run Focus Groups and test prototypes;
- Product Roadmaps and Business Case ability;
- Agile Methodology, SCRUM, KANBAN
- Business process mapping/modelling
- Facilitation skills
- Software development/business analysis background
- Understanding Behavioural Design

R1,300,000.00 per year
