Stock Controller

Salary:
Up to R18 000 per month + 13th Cheque

Working hours:
Monday - Friday 07:30 - 16:30

Our client that operates within the engineering industry has an opportunity for an experienced Stock Controller to join their firm in Pretoria, Moot area

Purpose of the job:

Link between Warehouse and Procurement department. Processing orders, Ordering new products when needed (Stock is bought per project). Updating computer systems with fresh information about available inventory/stock to optimize business efficiency overall.

Minimum requirements:

Matric
2+ years working within the same or similar role and industry (project space)
Computer literate
Strong administration skills
Indepth knowledge of inventory/stock management principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and organising skills

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
Coordinating stock control operations with warehouse staff, as well as the procurement and finance departments.
Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays. (Arrange for collection of stock where suppliers do not deliver stock and making sure that supplier payments have been made)
Overseeing stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing, and labelling.
Maintaining and updating daily shipment records, as well as purchases and pricing reports.
Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases (entering and updating system)
All administration duties related
Stock management and stock taking
Issue all related paperwork
Assisting warehouse staff where and when needed
