_Job Specifications_
Responsible for preparation and monitoring trades and activities related to changes to client portfolios under the monitoring of an approved FAIS-compliant representative out of FAIS Supervision
Work closely with the Portfolio Management Team, the Invest Operations teams, and other stakeholders involved in effecting changes to client portfolios
Accountable for reviewing portfolios and addressing queries related to changes in funds
Understanding of the investment management industry
Willing to put in long hours when needed
Under the guidance of an approved FAIS representative who is out of supervision, accurately execute trade instructions to effect changes to client portfolios, as instructed by clients and the Portfolio Management Team, including:
Preparing and submitting derivative trading instructions to the derivatives agent and following up for trade confirmations
Work closely with the Portfolio Management Team to manage derivative rolls and ensure that no trades or rolls are missed
Perform pre-trade analysis for larger flows and provide instructions to be carried out by the Administration Team
Work closely with the Administration Team to guide them on instructions required for portfolio changes such as rebalances, and drawdowns
Assist in the onboarding of clients to new derivative contracts and new products, in collaboration with the Portfolio Management Team and the Operations teams
Provide feedback on the completion of executed trades to the Portfolio Management Team
Review portfolios regularly to ensure that they are aligned with their target positions
Attend review meetings to address any queries related to changes in the portfolios
Prepare and/or review reporting on trade and rebalancing activities including:
Analysing performance data
Review and approve daily valuation and pricing files for derivative instruments as prepared by the Administration Team

Assist with trades for transition management clients, including:
Drafting instructions for the execution of a transition
Preparing files and trading on behalf of clients
Matching trades and preparing pre-and post-trading reports
Build and maintain relationships with brokers, internal teams, and other stakeholders
Support internal improvement initiatives within the Invest department to ensure continuous business improvement
Assist more senior members of the team with maintaining process documents for the Trade and Rebalancing function
Participate in internal projects


_Minimum Requirements_
Bachelors Degree, preference to B.Com, B.Business Science, B. Science
Required to be FAIS compliant therefore qualification will need to be approved by the FSCA for FAIS
0 2 years experience in financial services advantageous
Knowledge of domestic and international financial markets including forex and derivatives trading
Analytical and able to absorb large sets of data
Accuracy and attention to detail
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Ability to function positively under pressure, plan for and meet deadlines
Manage own priorities and collaborate successfully with others as part of a team
Use initiative, be proactive and with problem-solving abilities
Easily adapt to changes in the business environment
