We have a vacancy in our Tax Division for an experienced Tax Compliance Officer to manage a portfolio of tax clients.

Our Tax Compliance division services a broad range of clients with differing needs, thus providing tangible opportunities for learning and development.

Duties and responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Preparation and submission of Individual, Corporate, and Trust income tax returns.
  • Compilation of provisional tax estimates and returns.
  • Completion of IT 14 SDs
  • Objections, queries and attend to general SARS correspondence.
  • Debt arrangements.
  • Statutory registrations.
  • Completion and submission of dividends tax returns and other withholding tax submissions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Technically competent i.e., knowledge of the Income Tax Act.
  • Knowledge of how SARS functions
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good people and communication skills
  • Good problemsolving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of tax and data capture software
  • Comprehensive computer literacy
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Good time management and delegation skills
  • Good motivational skills

Educational level Required:

  • BCom degree
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Tax would be advantageous

Required Experience:

  • SAICA or SAIPA articles would be advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act
  • Experience in eFiling, easyfile and CaseWare, TaxWare or Similar Tax programme
