Echelon a division of Santam for a
Claims Handler, who will be based in
Sunclare Building, 21 Dreyer Street, Claremont, Cape Town.

Qualification and Knowledge

Matric
Minimum 23 years personal lines, short term insurance claims handling experience essential
Good computer skills
Sound knowledge of Motor and Non-Motor claims processes.

Main functions:

Register claims and make decisions regarding merit
Manage claims in terms of SLA's
Appoint assessors if necessary
Negotiate settlements
Daily estimate updates as well as note attachment to system
Timeous and efficient management of inbox
Liaise with brokers
Prompt feedback and handling of complaints (internal & external)
Assisting with the loading of payments and bordereaux's.
