Our client specializing in one of the most iconic luxury brands of scooters, is looking for a Motorcycle Mechanic to join their team based in Sandton, Gauteng.

Function & Duties

Repairing Vespa scooter engines, brakes, electrical systems, ignition systems, fuel injection systems, plugs, and carburettors.

Carrying out inspections and routine services.

Fitting tyres.

Customising or fitting accessories to Vespa scooters.

Pre delivery inspections of Vespa scooters.

Advising customers and management of necessary repairs and giving an estimate of cost and time.

Reading and following manuals, worksheets, technical drawings.

Using hand and power tools such as wrenches, drills, and welding equipment.

Using computerised diagnostic equipment.

Requirements:

Honest and reliable mechanic with yrs experience working on motorbikes/scooters.

Preferably trade qualified as a motorcycle/scooter mechanic.

Code 08 (EB) driver's license.

Motorbike license (A) and experience riding a motorbike/scooter.

Experience working in and maintaining a neat, tidy, and efficient workshop.

The ability to upsell and advise customers on work required.

Experience with advising on and installing performance parts.

Working as a team member with the other sales staff and workshop staff.

Being able to work without supervision and be self-motivated to achieve set sales targets each month.
