Project Coordinator (M/F/d) - Solar PV: full time - unlimited


Your Tasks:


Objectives

The Project Coordinator (M/F/d) (Junior EPC PM) is responsible for project management during the execution of the Engineering Procurement and Construction contracts of Hybrid and/or utility scale PV projects in South Africa/Africa under the direct/in-direct supervision or guidance from the EPC Project Manager (M/F/d) (EPC PM).

The Project Coordinator (M/F/d) is responsible and accountable for compliance, budget, cost, quality, schedule, risk, contracts, engineering, integration, stakeholders and security on the applicable project sub-tasks allocated to him/her within an EPC Project.

The Junior EPC PM (M/F/d) will also be responsible for the close-out and project management on related tasks for EPC projects during the warranty/ defect's liability period under the direct/in-direct supervision or guidance from the EPC PM.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Support EPC PM in managing and communicating a clear vision of the project's objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members.
  • The Deputy PM will collaborate with all operational parties, including Purchasing & Logistics, Engineering, Specialist Consultants, Suppliers, Subcontractors and IT.
  • Any other adhoc projects and duties as required by management.
  • Manage and report on progress when required.
  • Responsible for schedule and achievement of contractual milestones within allocated subtasks within the EPC Project.
  • Reporting to the Team Leader and EPC Project Manager on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Work closely with Project development and Sales during the finalization of the selling process to coordinate internal work and support project sales.
  • Implementation, compliance with juwi processes and standards and all allocated tasks.
  • Project management of EMEA EPC projects from Gate 5 to Gate 6 (POST EPC PM Projects).

Your Profile:


Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering/ Management qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience within the construction industry after obtaining qualification.
  • Good communication skills, able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally (both suppliers and customers).
  • Demonstratable support experience on project cost, schedule, risk, quality and technical topics.
  • Familiar with project management tools i.e. MS Project & MS Office, etc. and best practise.
  • Familiar with health and safety requirements and commissioning within construction projects.
  • Acquaintance with PMI standards or alternatively industrial standards related to Project Management.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrable ability to work in matrix organizations and to operate in a culturally diverse international environment.
  • Team player with demonstrable leadership qualities

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience of contract management and knowledge of standard contract forms
  • NEC, FIDIC, etc.
  • Experience of working within the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Program and/or executing projects related to energy supply the mining sector.
