Key responsibilities:


  • Identify and analyze distressed debt investment opportunities from banks and other credit providers.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including assessing risk, financial performance, and legal considerations.
  • Develop investment strategies and recommend investment opportunities to senior management.
  • Negotiate and structure debt purchase agreements, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the Group.
  • Monitor existing distressed debt investments
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes related to distressed debt investments.
  • Work closely with various internal teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to support the investment process.
  • Prepare comprehensive investment reports and presentations for senior management and investors.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Chartered Accountant certification is beneficial.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in distressed debt investments, including portfolio acquisition and management or consumer debt collections related field.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial modeling, and legal aspects related to consumer credit and distressed debt investments.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to assess risks and make informed investment decisions.
  • Experienced leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
