Summary of the position
The role of the

Senior Administrator:
Setup & Configuration
Services is to ensure that all portfolios and securities are correctly set up on the Maitland systems.

We are looking for a leader in the static data space to guide our clients and industry in best practice for valuation.

An individual is needed with proven industry experience in either asset management or fund administration, with specific security static data experience being an absolute must.

Outline of main duties and responsibilities
The

Senior Administrator:
Setup & Configuration

Services will be expected to:

Static Data expertise:

Show leadership in the practices and processes of static data;
Understanding of the setup of securities and the resultant impacts of set up;
Setting up and maintaining static data with regards to all asset types;
Check and confirm that new static set up/static updates are accurate and complete;
Setting up and maintaining static data with regards to portfolios/funds;
Check and confirm that portfolio/fund set up/updates are accurate and complete;
Prepare & update process documentation;
Manage own tasks & incident queue;
Manage SLA deadlines.

Operational Tasks:

Supporting the team leaders and management relating to projects and new client takeOn's;
Providing mentorship and motivation to staff ensuring that appropriate knowledge sharing and skills training is given.

Skills and experience required.

A relevant tertiary business qualification and at least 3 years' experience in Asset Management portfolio administration;
Strong proven capability with respect to static data practices and processes;
Strong allround understanding of the Asset Management and Fund Administration industries;
Sound knowledge and experience of back office administration processes;
Confident & enthusiastic, and have a structured approach to work;
Ability to work in a pressurized environment;
Be discreet when dealing with client information;
Be selfreliant and capable for independent work;
Communicate clearly and efficiently;
Use MS Excel (intermediate to advanced);
Use MS Word (intermediate to advanced);
Work accurately and neatly;
Work methodically and systematically;
Work under pressure & meet deadlines;
Work without supervision;
Knowledge and experience of Decalog (Asset Arena Investment Manager), InvestOne and Xceptor an advantage.
